Donors
The foundation of any successful beef cattle program and behind every great bull and female is an elite cow. We feel the donors at Veto Valley are second to none in terms of genetics, phenotypical presence and performance. “Bred for Balance” these females are structurally sound, attractive and maternal while offering breed leading, proven genetics. In the words of a well-known cattleman “It’s all about the family; yours, ours and the breed’s greatest cow families.” Is one we firmly believe in.
Feddes Lakina D6
D6 is the most influential female in the VVF program. She’s our $11,000 pick of the ‘16 born heifers from Feddes Red Angus, MT, a daughter of their now deceased premier donor Lakina Y17 (D6 is claimed as being her best daughter by Mr. Chuck Feddes), she’s a maternal sister to the popular Feddes Silver Bow, from the same cow family as the maternal legend Feddes Big Sky. She has over 90 progeny registered through RAAA and over $350,000 in progeny sales to date. As well as daughters and granddaughters in our donor program. A daughter, VETO Lakina 306M is the $19,000 record seller of the ’25 SERAA “Grass Time” sale. A son, VETO Keystone is being used for natural service at VVF. His flush mate sister, VETO Lakina 912K, produced LSF VVF First Class 4636M, the $50,000 high selling red bull of the ’26 LSF “All American” Bull Sale, WY. 4736M’s flush mate sister, VETO Lakina 924M, is the $35,000 all-time top valued female of the ’26 SERAA “Grass Time” Sale. D6 is an attention getter to all visitors to the farm, praised for her maternal look and rib shape. Like our embryologist says “She never misses.” We fully agree with him! D6 truly is a once in a lifetime female.

VETO Lakina 950M
A rising star at VVF! 950 is a maternal sister to our signature female, Lakina D6. When the opportunity arose to purchase a pregnant recip carrying a calf sired by the $400,000 PIE Hollywood out of Feddes Lakina Y17 came available in the ’23 “Red Revolution” Sale we had to jump on it. 950M is the only daughter from this mating as Y17 is now deceased. She’s a powerful, high performance attractive future donor. Her data as of 5/7/25 is an impressive 11 traits in top 25% or better. She has a bright future ahead!

A full sister to the breed matriarchs HXC Jolene 301N and HXC 502R; dams of HXC Jackhammer @ ABS, the rare and deceased HXC Authority, as well as 502R being the MGD of the $190,000 superstar KJL/CLZB Complete 7000E. A 106F daughter sired by Beckton Nebula P707 (a full sister in blood to the dam of Complete 7000E) is one we’ve had our eyes on since a young age.

BERWALD JAYLO 4008
Our admiration of the Jaylo/Jolene cow family led us to 4008 in Berwald’s spring ’25 sale. She’s a direct daughter of the $190,000 rare and deceased KJL/CLZB Complete 7000E out of a flush mate sister to the $90,000 Berwald Confident 2044 @ ABS. On a recent visit to Berwald’s we saw her MGD as well as a flush mate sister to her dam, 2134, they were as an impressive mother/daughter duo you’ll find. Complete’s dam was just as impressive on that same trip. A Confident daughter of our lead donor Lakina D6 sold for a record setting $19,000 in the ’25 SERAA “Grasstime” sale.

Another exciting black-red carrier female in our donor lineup and a maternal sister to the $190,000 sensation, KJL/CLZB Complete 7000E. We added M4271 from the ’25 Hansine Ranch fall female sale where her 10 year-old dam commanded $51,000. M4271 is sired by the REA, MB and docility leading Angus sire Poss Winchester. As of 12/25 M4271’s data ranks her in the top 1% for ProS, GM, WW, YW, ADG, MB and 2% CW.

4073 was our selection of the ’25 “Red Redefined” Sale at Niobrara Red Angus as the high selling bred heifer. Her footnotes from the catalog begin as “Special. She’s just special.” We couldn’t agree anymore. She’s a direct daughter of the rare and highly sought after STRA Ranch Hand whose semen has sold for $5,700/unit! Her 105 MPPA dam is a full siter in blood to the $190,000 rare and valuable KJL/CLZB Complete 7000E. 4073”s data as of 12/25 ranks in the top 1% for ProS, HB, STAY and top 5% GM. A 106 MPPA black-red carrier donor that consistently adds performance and eye appeal. Her MGD is the immortal 124 MPPA Miss Forster Coppertop 591 that sold for a record breaking $50,000 as a mature donor. 216 is sired by the highly proven Angus pathfinder, OCC Emblazon 854E, known for producing attractive, elite females across multiple breeds.

LSF Minola W9041
The now deceased donor, Minola W9041 leaves a lasting impact on the Red Angus breed, having raised the iconic LSF Saga as her first calf. Saga led the breed for registrations for multiple years. He’s the sire of our lead donor, Lakina D6. W9041 posted a lifetime MPPA of 104 and was a donor for both VVF and Ludvigson Stock Farms. Her most productive daughter at VVF, the 105 MPPA VETO Minola 903H raised VETO Minola 903K, the $10,500 high seller of the ’24 SERAA “Grasstime” sale as her first calf. A maternal granddaughter, Minola H0358 posts a 106 MPPA has also been used as a donor, H0358’s first daughter, the 107 MPPA VETO Minola 102K, a 3rd generation W9041 granddaughter has also been used as a VVF donor as well (see 102K, also featured as a donor on this page).

A 3rd generation VVF donor, 102K is a direct daughter of the rare and deceased 5L Genuine 1603-195C. 102K truly checks all the boxes; she’s phenotypically attractive, long, thick, big topped and dark footed with a near perfect udder. On paper she’s just as appealing with 7 traits in the single digits, including top 1% GM, WW, YW and MB. Both her dam and 3rd dams have been VVF donors. She boasts a 107 MPPA, from a dam with a 106 MPPA back to a 3rd dam, Minola W9041 (the dam of LSF Saga) with a 104 MPPA.

Red Lazy MC Star 185M
Our Canadian donors are the result of a longtime friendship and partnership with the Morasch family at Lazy MC Angus in Alberta. When they offered half embryo interest in their foundation donor, Red Lazy MC Star 185M we knew she was a female we needed to be a part of. She was the top valued Red Angus female to sell in Canada in 2013. She is the dam of Red Lazy MC Cowboy Cut, the $50,000 Red Lazy MC Gunner, Lazy MC Lookout (sire of National Champion Eye Spy) as well as countless donor daughters across the US and Canada. 185M is described by Clint as the model Angus cow and offers unmatched fleshing ability, depth of body and udder quality. Her influence is strong in our herd with daughters by Stout (full sisters to Cowboy Cut), Trooper (full sisters to Gunner) and Soldier as well as over twenty daughters of Cowboy Cut working in the cowherd.

At the ’24 RAAA National Convention the "Pick of the Niobrara Red Angus ’23 born heifers” was offered to benefit the Red Angus Foundation. We stepped up and won the bid for $28,000, after sorting through nearly 90 bred heifers and lengthy conversations with both Garrett Knebl and Jake Bathke, NIO Betty 3183 was our choice. She’s a big bellied, attractive up and coming donor with a highly maternal presence. An outcross bred granddaughter of the $750,000 Angus sire SAV President, her 3rd dam is the popular WR Ms Betty 9035 back to the prolific WR Ms Betty 640 who has 86 progeny to her credit through RAAA. 3183 is big middled with a tidy, near perfect udder.

Selected as the $10,500 high selling pair of the ’24 MS Red Angus sale, Laura K05 is direct daughter of the rare and valuable STRA Relentless from a dam that’s a maternal sister to the popular Bieber bulls Hard Drive and Deep End back to a MGD that posted a 111 MPPA. K05 ranks in the top 1% ProS, GM and MB along with 11 traits in top 23% or better. Her dam is a lead donor for Boot Jack Cattle Co, MT.

A direct daughter of the Triple Crown winning Feddes Blockanna 807, was a successful show heifer including twice being named Champion at the TN State Fair as a bred heifer then the following year with her first heifer calf at side. That heifer was named Jr Heifer Calf Champion of the same show before going on to win the Mid South fair the following month at six months of age. 678S has multiple daughters in the herd as well as spending the summer of 2018 in IVF production.

One of the most phenotypically pleasing females at VVF, she comes by it naturally combing the rare and valuable Meado West Montana Creek with a farm favorite Blockanna 678S. Montana Creek has sired as many national champion females as any sire with semen selling as high as $1,800/unit. The now deceased 678S was a 2X TN State Fair Champion Female. 2F11’s MGD is the Triple Crown legend Feddes Blockanna 807. A flush mate sister to 2F11 was a featured high seller of the High Calibur Female sale, KY.

Her $14,000 donor dam was the lead off heifer of the ’08 NWSS Champion Pen of Heifers, the high seller of the “Mile High Classic” sale later that day as well as being a maternal sister to the past Triple Crown legend Feddes Blockanna 807. 931F’s impressive data, as of 12/25, places her in the single digit percentiles for GM, CED, BW, WW, YW. HPG, MB and CW. A natural son was the $16,000 high seller of the ’25 SERAA “Autumn Extravaganza” Bull and Female Sale (see him on the “Sale Ring” page).

SRN Tidy Bee 2066
Our foundation donor, SRN Tidy Bee 2066, was purchased as the $21,500 feature of the Link Ranch ‘Signature’ sale where she posted a 108 MPPA and produced multiple replacements for them. 2066 is a maternal sister to the powerhouse female producer BJR JR 107 and their dam was the top selling female of the historic Boot Jack dispersal. A maternal sister to 2066 was the top selling bred heifer of the same event. Tidy Bee has been a mainstay in our program with multiple daughters and granddaughters by Mulberry, Cowboy Cut, Grand Statement, Redman and Jackhammer working alongside her. In addition to the Veto Valley cowherd her progeny have been featured at Bootjack-Tilleman, MT; Bachman, MO; Star G, IA; Chain Ranch, OK; JK Red Angus, NC and Little Creek, MS. She is pictured here just days after calving in the summer of 2017 at the age of 15 and is now in IVF production.

TW Dina 2205
TW Dina 2205 was selected as the $16,000 all-time top selling female from the Whitley Red Angus program, where she posted a 112 MPPA in that high-performance cowherd. Several astute Red Angus operations were in the running that day to get her bought. Genetics from 2205 have been well received with embryos averaging over $1000 each and a daughter topping a past SERAA Grasstime sale. Two 2205 daughters, by Rambo 502 and Jackhammer, carry on the family name at Veto Valley.

In the spring of 2017 we purchased one half embryo interest in the Canadian Reserve National Champion Female; Red Lazy MC Lady 17Y. She is putting together an impressive track record with her first son being a feature of the Signature Series bull sale as well as daughters topping the Lazy MC/BCR Ventures sales. We are looking forward to the style and class she will add to our donor lineup. She has become the poster child for her sire Red Lazy MC Cowboy Cut.
